Trees, Toads and Butterflies!
David Gemme
has again chosen CHPT as the recipient of GEM Builders open space! The
4.4056 acres is part of Manor Ridge Estates, a flexible subdivision located
off of Brookfield Road and abutting homes on Sydney Circle. This parcel
contains a meadow, bird habitat, and a walking trail horseshoeing around
the homes.
This trail is part of the open space under the care of CHPT. It is open
to the public from dawn to dusk, but there is no parking for visitors.
Folks are welcome to follow the looping trail as part of their everyday
walk along Brookfield Road! There are two entrances to the trail on either
side as you face the entrance to Sydney Circle. One is to the left of
the detention basin. Follow the access road and you will see the trail
break off to your right. The other entrance is to the right of Syndey
Circle between two houses. This pretty, winding trail will take you past
meadows and along stone walls. The trail goes between and behind homes
so please be respectful of the residents and abutters.
Trustees will be visit the property regularly as part of our stewardship
responsibilities so feel free to stop and say hello if you see us!
